Ensuring your
pet’s vaccinations
are up-to-date
could save them
from becoming
seriously ill.
It is not possible to stress too strongly the importance of ensuring your pet is routinely vaccinated. Over the years we have unfortunately seen several cases of pets whose illnesses could have been prevented if they were vaccinated regularly.
A vaccination is an injection that is given to puppies, kittens and young rabbits to protect them from specific infections and diseases. Vaccinations are very quick and almost pain-free, and an initial course usually consists of two injections that are administered over a couple of weeks. This is done to help their bodies build up immunity to particular diseases.
However, just one vaccination will not give your pet lifelong immunity. To ensure your pets immunity is kept at a level that would prevent disease regular vaccination top ups are required, although we will vary vaccinations required as different diseases require different re-vaccination frequencies. . This means that your pet will require annual booster vaccinations to help keep them fit, strong and able to fight off infection and disease.
